CUHP

ABOUT CUHP - The work of the Thematic Network

This network brings together seven research teams from Denmark, France, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, and the UK, with expertise in the field of homelessness research, to share:

  • Knowledge of robust methodologies
  • Substantive findings
  • Policy outcomes
  • Theoretical perspectives
  • Ethical issues
  • Definitional issues

The network is multi-disciplinary and has used quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Researchers in the network have undertaken national and local estimates, surveys of homeless populations, tracked service users, and accessed the voice of diverse homeless populations. This work has been used to inform policy agendas in different member states and has generated theoretical developments.

The Work of the Network is undertaken through 5 work-packages and 1 conference. Click here for details.

All workshops and the final conference will last two full days. One of these days will be open to the general public, mainly NGOs, government agencies and other researchers. The language of the network will be English, excepted for the final conference (to be held in Brussels) where simultaneous translation in French will be provided.

The co-ordination of the network is undertaken by INED, France.

CHCR, the UK partner, has a particular responsibility in relation to establishing the web-site of the network and the public reports of the partnership, bulletin board notices and contacts on the web-site.
